Holland re-joining rotation

Derek Holland is expected to re-join the Rangers rotation on Wednesday in Tampa Bay.

The Rangers put Rich Harden on the disabled list Sunday. After the game club officials said Tommy Hunter will start on Tuesday against the Rays and Holland would likely start on Wednesday.

Holland is 6-2 with a 1.91 ERA in ten starts in Oklahoma City but lasted just 21/3 innings in his last start on Friday against Las Vegas. He threw 59 pitches while allowing three runs. He is 2-1 with a 4.19 ERA in four starts and one relief appearance at the Major League level this season. <p />

“It’s hot but that’s the most overblown story there is. I’m sick of hearing about how hot it is. It’s not a big deal at all. For three months we have the best weather there is. It’s not like we’re playing at Lambeau Field. It’s baseball, it’s supposed to be hot.”

Third baseman Michael Young.
