Cruz goes on disabled list. Gentry called up
The Rangers have placed outfielder Nelson Cruz on the disabled list with a strained right hamstring. They have recalled outfielder Graig Gentry from Triple A Oklahoma City where he was hitting .295 with two home runs and 12 RBI in 58 at-bats. He has five steals.
Cruz has been bothered by the hamstring for a week and has come out of three different games when it tightened up on him.
Cruz was hitting .323 with a club-leading seven home runs and 17 RBI.
