Matt Treanor sent to Oklahoma City
The Rangers have sent catcher Matt Treanor to Oklahoma City. He will share the catching duties there with Kevin Richardson and possibly Max Ramirez. Treanor could have taken his out on March 30 but declined to do so. He was acquired earlier in camp from the Brewers.
The Rangers are planning to start the season with Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Taylor Teagarden as their catchers. Manager Ron Washington has not decided who will be the No. 1 catcher.
“The situation hasn’t changed,” Washington said. “That could go into Saturday.”
