Rangers trade Ray Olmedo for catcher Matt Treanor

The Rangers have traded infielder Ray Olmedo to the Brewers for catcher Matt Treanor. He will be in camp as a non-roster player as insurance in the Rangers unsettled catching situation.

Treanor has 278 games of Major League experience, almost all with the Marlins from 2004-08. He was with the Tigers in 2009 but played in just four games while missing most of the season with a torn labrum in his right hip.

He was 4-for-20 in 10 Cactus League games for the Brewers this spring.

Isn’t he married to a really gorgeous beach volleyball player?

DOn’t the Rangers already have this skill-set in Kevin Richardson?

Yes, “Misty May”.
