MRI confirms Holland has sprained knee
An MRI has confirmed the Rangers pitcher Derek Holland has a mild sprain in his right knee.
Holland injured the knee in drills on Saturday and has not been throwing since then. But the Rangers said he’ll be able to resume baseball-related activities immediately with the hope of resuming a throwing program in the next few days.
He will continue to wear a brace on the knee but will be with the Rangers during Tuesday’s work.
“He can do more than sit on a table in the trainer’s room and do crossword puzzles,” assistant general manager Thad Levine said.
