The Rangers sale is done
Chuck Greenberg’s group has completed the purchase of the Rangers from owner Tom Hicks. The next step is to get it approved by the banks and MLB. But this step is complete. An announcement coming soon.
Under the agreement, Greenberg is expected to become managing general partner, Nolan Ryan becomes a limited partner and remains club president and Hicks remains with the team as a minority investor.
The hope is that all of this will be officially wrapped up by Opening Day. Again this is just one step in the process.

Best news ive heard in a while!!!! I actually am not as cynical as most Rangers fans in their opinion of Tom Hicks but am still very excited for the new regime to take over. I hope to see the Rangers acting more like the big market team that they are.
