Rangers keep Esteban German
The Rangers have signed infielder Esteban German to a 2010 contract instead of non-tendering him. Club officials had suggested the Rangers might not offer him a contract and make him a free agent. But instead they worked out a contract and he remains with the Rangers as a utilility infielder candidate.
The Rangers offered contracts to all their arbitration-eligible players including pitchers Scott Feldman, Chris Ray, Frank Francisco, C.J. Wilson, Dustin Nippert and Brandon McCarthy, and Josh Hamilton.
Only German was in doubt.

I think this is a very good move on the part of John Daniels…German showed some really good offensive production at the end of last year and also gives a lot of speed…..I think he should have the utility role….give the guy a full time shot, he has a lot of upside….i know he hasn’t played short much…but maybe he will adjust well….would be a very cheap solution…one with a lot of upside…..
