Barajas On Rangers Radar – Rangers Want To Meet With Sheets Agent
Catching has become a high priority for the Rangers due the uncertainty surrounding Jarrod Saltalamacchia’s shoulder. Former Ranger Rod Barajas is one of the catchers Texas has shown an interest in.
Other catchers the Rangers are considering include: Jason Kendall, Yorvit Torrealba and Jose Molina.
The Rangers also intend to meet with Ben Sheets’ agent Casey Close before the Winter Meetings end, they want a medical update on the pitcher. Sheets missed all of the 2009 season due to elbow surgery.
