Rangers place German on DL, recall Moscoso

Infielder Esteban German was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right groin muscle on Tuesday, and relief pitcher Guillermo Moscoso was called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City to take his spot on the 25-man roster.

This is Moscoso’s fourth stint with the Rangers this season. He is 0-0 with a 4.32 ERA over five relief appearances with the Rangers. Moscoso will be in uniform for the Rangers and available tonight.

He has gone 5-3 with a 2.17 ERA in 10 games (nine starts) with Oklahoma City, his first experience in Triple A. Opponents were hitting just .223 against him this season.

German was 2-for-12 (.167) with two walks in three games at second base for the Rangers since being called up on August 5. He will be eligible to be activated on August 29.

I really Sorry But this is one of the few MISTAKES Jd has made all year , This move should have been Chris Davis , especilly , with the way Blalock has been Playing , Hes like 0-16 his last at bats ,and not one walk since the AS break . I’ll tell you one ting about Hank , Hes trying to put up Homerun numbers for this off season when he’ll be trying to sign , his last contract more than likely . Theres not a player on the Rangers in the last 35 days that has the numbers , that chris has put up .sence being sent down . Hes worked hard , and got his swing back . and don’t give me the B.S. that its AAA . Because josh was like 4 -26 and Kins was 0-7 at AAA just a few weeks ago . I will continue to ride Wash or JD or nolans back for not bringing Chris back up .

Blalock is predictable. He also has hot streaks. Umm, Davis? Not so much. A vet as Hank, during the run, is simple smart.
Nice triple HB. Hank is more than adequate.
