Rangers sign third round pick
The Rangers have signed left-handed pitcher Robbie Erlin, a third-round pick from Scotts Valley (Ca.) High School. He was 9-1 with a 0.63 ERA with 125 strikeouts in 62 innings. He had committed to Cal-Poly San Luis Obispo. He is reporting to Arizona tomorrow. He hasn’t pitched in a game since early May.
“I just miss it and wanted to get out there and start developing, get out there and get some innings,” Erlin said. “I need to work on everything. Hopefully, I go down there and get started on a weight program and get bigger. I want to become a complete pitcher.”
