Rangers call up Madrigal for Moscoso
The Rangers have called up Warner Madrigal from Triple A Oklahoma City to replace Guillermo Moscoso. Madrigal is 2-0 with 12 saves and a 1.83 ERA for the RedHawks and has a 10.13 ERA in three previous tours with the Rangers this season.
The Rangers sent Moscoso down after he pitched in the two previous games. He has a 4.32 ERA in five relief appearances in three tours with the Rangers. He is 3-2 with a 1.85 ERA in seven games, including six starts at Oklahoma City.
Ian Kinsler is also out of the lineup for a second straight game because of a strained left hamstring.

Will somebody please start some trade rumors involving the Rangers? I don’t necessarily want them to make a trade. But, it makes for good conversation…something we haven’t been having too much of around here lately. I might even be happy if d’god proposed a trade of Brandon McCarthy for John Danks. My baseball juices need some trade banter to get my mind going!
The Diamondbacks had scouts at last nights game possibly looking at Moscoso. They’re willing to move Jon Garland, Doug Davis or reliever Chad Qualls. Garland had a 5.75 ERA after the first 2 months, but has been really good since then. Davis has been consistently good and is having his best season since ’05 after 3 solid, if mediocre years.
