Rangers take Purke

The Rangers have taken Matthew Purke, a left-handed pitcher from Houston Klein High School. He throws 92-95 miles per hour and has an outstanding slider. He has significant international experience. He is a big Tom Glavine fan.

He has a scholarship to TCU. He reportedly wants big money to sign. Rick Porcello got approximately $7.3 million from the Tigers a couple of years ago. That’s what Purke is supposedly asking for. Could be a tough sign but….
