Harrison on the disabled list. Padilla throws
The Rangers have placed pitcher Matt Harrison on the disabled list to make room for Tommy Hunter. Harrison is sidelined with a strained left shoulder. He last pitched on Monday against the Yankees and is 4-4 with a 5.43 ERA in nine starts.
He is eligible to come off on June 10. He will throw a bullpen this week and that will give the Rangers a better idea of where he stands.
“He’s feeling much better today,” general manager Jon Daniels said. “We could be aggressive and push his start back to next week (June 6) in Boston but given his age and experience level, we want to be smart about it.”
Vicente Padilla, who threw in the bullpen on Friday, is expected to come off the disabled list and pitch Tuesday against the Yankees.
“I feel good,” Padilla said after his bullpen session. “My velocity is good. I think I’m ready for Tuesday. I’m going to throw another bullpen on Sunday and after that we’ll see. But the way I feel today, I don’t think there will be any problems.”

good news for Padlla, hope he is almost where he left off rather than where he was at the beginning of the season
