Francisco not happy with session
Rangers closer Frank Francisco, sidelined with bicep tendinitis in his right arm, threw in the bullpen on Saturday afternoon and wasn’t happy with the results. He won’t pitch during the Rangers series with the Angels but is hoping to be ready when the Rangers play in Detroit next week.
“I was throwing good, had my location and no pain,” Francisco said. “But the ball didn’t jump out of my hand like it usually does.”
Francisco said he will likely take Sunday off and then throw another bullpen session on Monday.
“That’s just me guessing,” Francisco said.
He’s pain-free, he’s just not sharp.
“Not yet,” Francisco said. “But I will be.”
