Phillies Interested In Jones, Reds Interested In Arias

The Philadelphia Phillies are showing interest in both Gary Sheffield and Andruw Jones.  The Phillies released Geoff Jenkins today and Sheffield was also released today by the Detroit Tigers.  The Phillies have been scouting Jones extensively this spring.  Andruw Jones is competing with Frank Catalanotto for a spot on the Rangers 25 man roster.

Additionally, the Cincinnati Reds are showing a  strong interest in Joaquin Arias.  The Reds today traded INF Jeff Keppinger to the Astros. They are considering Arias for a utility position.
