KC Herren released

The Rangers released KC Herren this morning. He was the outfielder taken with their second-round pick in the 2004 draft. The Rangers have had terrible luck with their second round pick through the years…

This would be a good year for 2005 second round pick John Whittleman to burst through. He’s 22 and was drafted out of high school. They pushed him early in his career. He’ll be at Double A. With all these pitchers in the system, I think he’s an interesting guy to watch.
