Young asked to move to third

The Rangers have asked Michael Young to move to third base to make room for Elvis Andrus. Young has been adamantly opposed to such a move and the Rangers may explore the possibility of a trade. Young is a five-time All-Star shortstop and won a Gold Glove in 2008 but the Rangers think he’s their best option at third base.

T.R., do you think this has anything to do with the rumors we’ve heard this offseason? Knowing Michael, he’ll probably do it for the good of the team, but it wouldn’t surprise me this time if he voices discontent. I can’t remember very clearly when he switched to SS, but I’m pretty sure that he didn’t mind.
