Are the Rangers going to sign Ben Sheets? Probably not.

Are the Rangers going to explore every possibility presented to them? Nolan Ryan said yes.
That’s why the Rangers met with Ben Sheets on Monday. The Rangers do not want to close the door on anything, especially in a slow-moving free agent market and the current economy.
“We have to investigate everything,” Ryan said. “We do not want to eliminate an opportunity until we look and see what’s there.”
Ryan said Sheets showed a sincere interest in the Rangers. The feeling is mutual. This could get interesting before the winter is out.
