Davis to third, Blalock to first
Chris Davis is moving to third base so Hank Blalock can play first. The switch will be made at the end of the week once Blalock finishes a three-game rehab assignment at Double A Frisco. Blalock has a sore shoulder and the Rangers don’t think he can hold up at third base. More on the website.

Blalock can’t hold up at any position! The Rangers shouldn’t be messing with Chris Davis–a potential winning ballplayer–just to try to squeeze a few AB’s from Blalock. It’s not going to add any trade value to his rep.
Ugh!
Flipper gets his way, that is what it is about. 20 bucks says Blalock doesn’t produce what Davis did during his time at first. This is what is crazy about this “organization” Davis spends all year learning first base, makes it to the majors is playing great defense and hitting lights out and now he is moved? RIDICULOUS! All so the Rangers can see if they want to give Blalock $4 million to stay here? Who cares about his trade value? Have we really gotten anything in return other than Hamilton for Volquez. Trade Blalock to a team that wants to pick up his option for next year, ala Minnesota, don’t they have some pitcher that we could use?How fast is Andrus coming to the majors and i really can’t stand to watch Young misplay another ball at short stop so is Young trade bait or a future third baseman?
