Third baseman Hank Blalock will have shoulder surgery on Monday. He will be out 10-12 weeks. Travis Metcalf is being called up to replace him. John Koronka is pitching Saturday. More on the site later

Metcalf isn’t ready but maybe this will be a good experience for him. Maybe we’ll find out what Kata is all about. Sure ***** for Hank and all those of us who were hoping he’d return to All-Star form this year. But mostly Hank.

Why not move Teixiera over there and play Botts at 1B? Rangers stink and continue to do so. Wouldn’t Teixiera have a higher trade value over there at the 3B. Metcalf ain’t ready. What the **** does Texas have against Botts, he has only led their AAA the past two years?

Hey rangersorrobbers, i thought they were all injured all ready!! Ha Ha. If the Rangers were contenders, Blalock probably would have stuck it out. However, who could blame him from divorcing himself from this situation. Way to bail on Washington one of his staunchest supporters. Buck wanted Blalock gone, Washington comes in babies the guy, supports him and he bolts. What a team guy!!
4 months out. Looks like around September is when he will be back. How convenient. Lets start the pool how many games under .500 by then? My vote is between 15 to 18 out. Any takers?

Seeing as they’re 11 games under .500 already, I’ll take the over on your vote. This team may well finish 20+ under .500. That would mean they’ll lost 91+ games. It’s going to be a rough summer.

No, No, Daniels boy genius stated in the paper ” I think we still have time to turn things around.” Not gonna happen. How often do you have to get slapped in the face Daniels? You better intervene and start playing Diaz, Cruz and these other guys on a consistent basis. Right now these guys are coming to the park not knowing if they are playing or sitting. You can’t do that. We need to start developing a set lineup. Most of the good teams have a group of core players that play everyday. That is why they call them everyday players. Play DIAZ, CRUZ and MAHAR. Get Botts up here yesterday and tell him go out there and play, show us what you can do, then let him do it. WE may have 4 guys right there that is something to build on. Deal Millwood, Padilla, Wilkerson, Catalanotto, Lofton, Gagne, Sosa and Tex for some players. It is called RE_BUILDING. I am telling you that if you guys commit to rebuilding, the fans will support it. Why are we continuing down this road to nowhere? At least it is a plan. The fans will cut the team some slack if you announce that we are rebuilding and start making deals to get young prospects and players. What are you guys afraid of? This fits your fiscal conservative style anyway. Once we rebuild then we can add the free-agents we need. The only reason we have Young, Blalock, Teixiera, is because we got them when we went young. We are reeling, make a d#mn decision. DO IT NOW!
