Catalanotto on DL. Diaz called up
The Rangers are placing outfielder Frank Catalanotto on the disabled list with an acute strained biceps muscle in his right arm. Catalanotto said he is hoping the inflammation can be knocked out quickly and he’ll be sidelined for no more than the minimum 15 days. Outfielder Victor Diaz has been recalled from Triple A Oklahoma.

Hopefully Cat comes back with a vengence. You can’t get much hotter than Diaz is at AAA, although his BB/K ratio is a little skewed in the K direction.
Wow, too bad about Cat. Hope he isn’t out too long, but at the same time, I hope he doesn’t rush his recovery, either. We need him at 100%, like we do everybody. About Diaz: I wonder if he will will he see any real time in left, or will Wilkerson and Cruz get most of the at-bats? We could use a fresh face in the lineup, and after all, Wilk and Cruz are strikeout prone, too. Especally Brad.
That stinks. I really like Cat. Got to meet him when I was doing some contract work for the Rangers in 2000. Gret guy.
But maybe it’s for the best. It’s been painful to watch him struggle. And the Rangers would be hard pressed to struggle any more http://rangersorrobbers.wordpress.com/ than they have been this season.
I hope he heals fast, because it looks like we’ll need him as trade bait early this summer.

Resume’ for Job with Rangers:
Dear Mr Tom Hicks,
I am 52 years old
I can’t hit, I can’t pitch, I will make basic fielding mistakes in the field but only if the ball is hit right at me. I will not dive for a ball as that would dirty my uniform and get dirt down my pants ewwwww.
I will accept the min, major league contract as it’s only 10 times my present salary but don’t worry I’ll blow my already bad shoulder out and need season ending surgury.
Yours sincerly,
ME
Hate it for Cat, but I’m glad Diaz is getting a chance. In my mind he’s as good a prospect as Cruz and younger too.
Wilkerson is strikeout prone? Hmm, I hadn’t noticed.
