And now a word from our sponsors
Boys and girls, I have two great websites for you.
First, Baseball’s Best, right here at MLB.Com. If you love baseball history as much as I do (God help you) then check out this:
http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/baseballs_best/index.jsp
Basically it’s a collection of old-time broadcasts – both television and radio – of great games from baseball history. The price is more than reasonable. I spent a couple hours listening to Game 7 of the 1960 World Series between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the New York Yankees on Monday afternoon and it was awesome.
That of course is the one where Bill Mazeroski hit the game-winning home run and, in my opinion, is the greatest baseball game ever played. There are many many great games to choose from.
Secondly, are you a serious trivia buff. If so (God help you) check out this great website:
This is not just sports trivia but trivia from every possible category. Basic parts are free, others are for a nominal cost. This is one of my favorite ways to pass the time on the road. Highly recommended.
Now, back to our regularly schedule viewing and Monday Morning Manager
